Shower For Bride
Mesdames Ike Stroud, R. J., and
D. W. Smith were joint hostesses
at a bridal shower for Mrs. Seland
Smith, recent bride, at the home
of Mrs. Stroud Saturday evening.
The home w:-s attractively deco
rated with fall flowers. The dining
table, covered with a lace cloth,
w as centered with a bowl of white
chrysanthemums. Assisting the hos
tesses in serving punch, cake and
salted nuts were Mrs. Belle Swin

Civics Club Meets
A regular meeting ot the Pink
Hill Civics Club was held at the
school Friday night, Nov. 23. Lin
wood Turner, president, presided.
A representative of the Lenoir
TB Association of the Lenoir
talked briefly on how the money
was used which was realized from
the sale of TB Seals.
E. R. Maxwell was chairman of
the food committee. Barbecue was
served.
Mrs. Price Is Buried
In Seven Springs
Funeral services for Alts. Annie
Mae Price, 39, who died at her
home, Rt. 2, Seven Springs, on
Thursday night of last week were
held from ihe home Friday after
noon by Elder Rudolph Harper oi
the Mormon church. Burial was in
the Seven Springs cemetery.
Surviving are her husband," M. It.
Price; a daughter, Sirs. Hilda Rol
lins: a son, Wildon Pi ice. both of
the home community: her mother,
