Miss Annette Pridgen of Warsaw, became the bride of Mr. Claude Alton Plyler, Jr., of Greenville in the Warsaw Method ist Church. The vows were spoken in a double ring ceremony with the Rev. A. M. Williams, pastor of the Warsaw Methodist Church, offi ciating, before an altar banked with long leaf pines and burning white tapers entwined with trail- ing green vine, and on each side of the chancel were beautiful poln setta. The altar was formed by baskets of white lilies. V Joe Pridgen of Warsaw, brother : Of the bride, and Hayward Sellars ' of Greenville were ushers. C. A. Plyler, Sr., served as best man with his son. Pre-nuptial organ music was ren dered by Miss Barbara Jeim Thomp son of Warsaw. Selections were t "Ave Maria", Angel's Serenade," Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms," and the tradition al wedding marches. The bride entered on the arm of her father and was attired in an original model suit of winter white. She wore a small feathered hat of blue with blue accessories. Her shoulder corsage was of red The bride's mother chose for the nrpsidon a black gabardine suit with matching accessories and a corsage of red roses. Pridgen of Warsaw and is a senior at East Carolina Teachers College. Mr. Plyler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Plyler. Sr., of Green ville and attended school at the University of North Carolina and Greenville. He is now employed by the Plyler Super Market in Green vUle. Immediately after the ceremony the couple left for a trip to the Western part of the state. They will make their home in Greenville ed the members of the wedding party and close friends and rela tives At a buffet luncheon in their home in Kcnansville. The home, ensuite for the occa sion, was attractively decorated throughout with novelty Christmas arrangements. On the mantel were red lighted candles among a setting ef pine and silver cones, flecked with poinsetta and on the piano was an arrangement of silver flowers with burning white tapers. The guests were invited into the dining room where they were ser ved a delicious turkey dinner from was placed a fruit bowl Hanked oy holly. The marriage of Miss Mary Louise McCuiston, of Mount Olive, and Emiuett Drau ghn Redmon, of Warsaw, and Cin cinnati, Ohio, was solemnized in a candlelight ceremony on Saturday afternoon, December 27, at six o'clock at the home of the bride's parents in Mount Olive. The bride's pastor, Rev. A. L. Chaplin, of the Methodist Church, performed the double ring cere mony at an altar improvised la the living room before an arch of milax and white chrysanthemums. The arch was flanked by floor baskets of white chrysanthemums, gladioli and stock, and the same flowers were used elsewhere thru out the home. The couple entered the room to gether, unattended. The. bride wore a suit of hyacinth blue gab ardine, flared brown velour hat trimmed with rose and champagne satin, and brown accessories. Her flowers were La France roses worn in a shoulder bouquet Following the ceremony, the wedding guests, who were immed iate relatives and close friends of the couple, were entertained at a buffet supper. After t wedding trip to Phlladel nhia. Pa., where they will visit relatives, the couple will be at home at 2622 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Redmon is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. M. McCuiston of Mount Olive. She was educated in the Mount Olive Schools and at Peace Collrge in Raleigh. Before her marriage she was employed in the Hatcher-Smith Motor Com pany in Mount Olive. Mr. Redmon is the son of Mrs. Thomas Frank Hayslip ams the late Horace Redmon, of Warsaw. He is a graduate of the Warsaw High School, of Lees-McRae College Banner Elk, and of the General Motors Institute of Flint, Michigan, and is a veteran of four years ser vice in the late war. His business connection is with the Buick Mo tors Division in Cincinnati. MBS. A supper was served picnic style. Miss Nora Blaekraeie gave a scripture reading depicting the Birtn oi Christ Carols were sung by different groups and games and contents held. "The Night Before Xmas" was given by Juliatna Jenkins. The Totichberry boys and Drew Grlce gave each one a gift from the Christmas tree.
