May in Pink Hill Thursday afternoon Shepard nar rowly escaped death when a torch blew gasoline practically all ovor him and the roof. The pot contain ing the gas was in flames and when Shepard tried to kick it off the roof his leg was badly burned as well as other parts of his body. He was treated by a local doctor. H. D. Club Meels Mrs. Fred Williams was hostess to the Home Demonstration Club at her home Thursday afternoon. The topic for discussion was, "The Control of garden, flower, and shrub insects."
