as hostess. Mrs. Gardner Edwards
presided and Mrs. P. C. Shaw led
.he devotional. Mrs. Adolph Jones
was assisted in presenting the pro
gram. At the conclusion a social
hour followed when the hosj&ss
"served sandwiches and cookies
with iced drinks.

8. Tables were arranged in we
gym which was transformed into
a woodland scene. "April Showers"
the rainbow effect was. achieved
by a myriad of colored streamers.
Forming a square, the tables wef!
covered with white and hold flow
ers interspersed with tapers in log
holders. The speaker's table fea
tured a beautiful centerpiece of
flame azaleasPlace cards were at
tached to pastel mint cups, while
programs were pastel parasols.
The program was presented at in
tervals during the evening.

grapefruit baskets, baked cNeken,
dressing, giblet gravy, English peas,
biscuit, pear and cneie salad, ice
cream, cake and tea.
