Tuesday approved changes n hai".
insurance rates which will trim an
estimated $127,201 from the cost oi
crop protection to North Carolina
farmers.
Th.- department said in ai an
nouncement that new, rates will
not mean reductions for all farm
ers, but only i-jr those in counties
which experienced no hail damage
or little damage during the past
years. The 1848 ratts will be low
er in 39 counties, higher in 17, and
unchanged in 44 other countii-s.
Duplin is one of the counties in
which the rates will be lowered
