Family Reunion
The home of Mrs. Jeannette
Brtnson was the scene of . family
reunion when members gathered
as is their annual custom. Barbecue
and a picnic dinner was served to
the several friends and relatives
in and out of Beulavllle.

when he entertained in the home

play and chocolate ice cream sun
daes were enjoyed at the conclu
sion. Th. Woman's Auxiliary met Tues
day evening in the hame of Mrs.
I. J. Sandlin, Jr with Mrs. Sandlin
as hostess. Mrs. Gardner Edwards
presided and Mrs. P. C. Shaw led
the devotional. Mrs. Adolph Jones
was assisted in presenting the pro
gram. At the conclusion a social
hour followed when the hos$ss
served sandwiches and cookies
with iced drinks.
The May meeting will be held
at the home of Ms. Aia & Will-

The Junior Class of Beulavllle
High School was host to the Senior
Class on Thursday evening, April
8. Tables were arranged in the
gym which n transformed into
a woodland scene. "April Showers'
the rainbow effect was achieved
by a myriad of colored streamers.
Forming a square, the tables wer:
covered with white and held flow
ers interspersed with tapers in log
holders. The speaker's table fea
tured a beautiful centerpiece of
flame azaleas-Place cards were at
tached to pastel mint cups, while
programs were pastel parasois.
The program was presented at in
tervals during the evening.
The three course '.nenu .nclu-le-1
grapefruit baskets, baked chicken,
dressing, giblet gravy. English peas,
biscuit, pear and choice salad, ice
cream, cake and tea.

Mrs. Edith Thomas Strickland
74. wife of Major Strickland died
Sunday, April 11 at her home in
Magnolia. She was the daughter
of the late Louise Sandlin Thomas
and Charlie Thomas. She was rear
ed In the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Sandlin of Beulaville and vas
a member o fthe Primitive Baptist
Church. Funeral services and in
terment was in the Wm. Sandlin
family cemetery near Beulaville
Monday afternoon with Elder Lin-
ster Bryant officiating.
In addition to her husband sue is
survived by two sons, Jimmie, of
the home, and Charlie of Fayette-
ville and several grandchildren.
