My campaign will be addressed to the people. Re-organization of State hospitals and correctional institutions under consoli dated boards. 6. Enlarged appropriations for agriculutral experiment and research. 7. Notable expansion of the schools of dairy ing and agriculture and the textile and engineering schools at North Carolina State College. 8. Establishment of first State Vocational school in the history of the State, being 10, 11 the textilo school located in Gaston County. . . Inaugurated broad program of mineral research and mineral resources, result ing in building of mineral research labor atory in Asheville and location of U. S. mining building on campus of State Col lege. Organization of Civilian Defense pro gram during war years.
