Three tables were set for play in the liv ing room which was decorated with an arrangement of summer flowers. Mrs. C. C. Coca colas and mints were served during play followed by ice cream and cake after the games. Mrs. D. W. Ruff in won consolation. Mrs. Levi Everett was the recipient of visitors high score and Mrs. T. Booklovers Meet Mrs. Jack Perkins was hostess to the Booklovers Club of LaGrnnfio at her home here Tuesday night. Mrs. Lindsley Stallings presided. Mrs. P.. G. Creech read thcminutes and Mrs. Dick Hardy sketched the livfts of outstanding men of N. C. Mrs. Edwin Wooten gave the book report and current events were given by different members of the club. Bible School Around 70 children were en rolled in a Bible School held at Pleasant View Presbyterian church this week. Local people were in charge, assisted by the pastor, Rev. N. P .Farrior. At the Harper-Southerland church about 40 were enrolled in a similar school. In charge there was Miss Molie Anne Boney of Wallace who is President of the Youth Fel lowship organization of Wilmington Presbytery. She was assisted by loeal people and Rev. Farrior.
