and canned goods to be sent to
the Confederate Womans Home in
Fayetteville.

Billy Torrans Goes

Billy Torrans has gone to Man
teo, N. C, where he will be for
the summer. He was selected to be
in the cast of "The Lost Colony",
having three parts in the play.
While there he plans to take a
course In Fine Arts at the Exten
sion of the University of N. C.

Allen Draughon of Warsaw is

rolled for the summer school sess
ion Which bcean Wednesday at Pres
byterian College, Clinton, S. C.
Mr. Draughon is a member of the
Junior class at the college and is
majorine in commerce. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Dnaughon
of Warsaw.

Dies; Age 70

Tuesday morning at the home of
Roy Home near Beulaviue after
a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at the
Pinev Grove Free Will Baptist
Holiness Church Wednesday after
noon at 3 o'clock by Rev. B. A.
Daughtry of Goldsboro.
He is survived by two tons, Os
car Norris of Snead's Ferry and
Claude Norris of the home; two
daughters, Mrs. Sudfe Bostic of
Chinquapin and Mrs. Bva Edwards
of the home community.
