Raleigh, N. C. North Carolina's resort areas are almost entirely free of polio, according to the North Carolina State Health Department. Charts show that in the 18 coun ties west of the Blue Ridge, which comprise all of the mountain resort area, there are only three cases of the disease, which is below normal. On the seashore there has been only a single case reported. Governor Cherry said that it was unfortunate many people have the idea it is unsafe to take their va cations in North Carolina resorts. Mrs. Nancy Dies In Hospital Mrs. Nancy Kathryn Britt, 27, who resided at Rose Hill, died in James Walker Hospital Tuesday night, June 29, at 9 o'clock. She had been very ill since Saturday having undergone a serious oper ation Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were hr!d from the home of her father in Rose Hill. Inter ment was in the Rose Hill cemetery. She Is survived by her husband William Britt; two daughters, Joyce and Brenda, allof Hose Hill; her parejits, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Lanier of Rose Hill; four sisters, Mrs. J. A. Peak of Elizabethtown, Mrs. G. B. Broeckhart of Mound, Minn., Mrs. N. V. Grady of Kenansville and Mrs. Johnnie Knowles of Rose Hill.
