Tuesday night the Evening Circle Of the Presbyterian Auxiliary hon ored Miss Byrd with a miscellan-f eous shower at the home of Miss Blanche Lewis Games were enjoy ed and cakes, sandwiches and ii:ed tea were served. The Sunday School Clas,. of whieh Miss Byrd is president, hon ored her with a barbecue supper in the Community Building on Wed nesday evening. The Class present-1 ed Miss Byrd with Nylon hose at' that time. About 60 guest-; attend-1 ed, including all the Sunday School teachers. Mrs. Hare Dies In Faison Mrs. Melissa Frances Mare. 66. of route 1, Faison. died at the home of a daughter. Mrs. J. T. Daw, on i Tuesday of last week from a Heart attack. Her husband, the 'ate J. H. Hare, died four years ago Surviving are three sons, William nl Faison, Naiman of Kembleville, Pa . and Oscar Hare of Newport News. Va.; four daughters. Mrs. ,1. T. Daw and Mrs. John Byrd. both of Rt. 1. Faison, Mrs. Albert Weeks of 1 Rt. 4, Mt. Olive, and Mrs. Thomas ! Easter of Illinois; two brothers, Tom Hollirujsworth of Clinton and Giles Hollingsworth of Kinston: two sisters, Mrs. Fred Parker of Mt. Olive and Mrs. Will Ligon of Durham. Funeral services were held Fri day afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Faison Methodist Church with the pastor. Rev. J. B. Cranford in charge, assisted by Rev. Fred War ren also of Faison.
