On Oct. 19 the local troop entertained the Warsaw Intermediate Troop. There were about 35 present with Mary Sue Burch, senior patrol lead er, in charge, assisted by Scribe Frances Jean Patterson. Mrs. A. T. Outlaw assisted Mrs. N. B. Boney with refreshments. Chaperones from Warsaw were Miss Helen West and Mrs. J. F. McColman. On Oct. 26, the regular weekly meeting for Troop 1, Kenansville, was held in the home, of Mrs. J. O. Stokes with Scout Dianne Stokes as hostess. 20 were present. Scout Angela Daughtry served protem, and assisted Senior Patrol Leader Mary Sue Burch with the opening. During the session plans were made for the PTA program which will be held Monday night, Nov. 1 at 7:30 in the Kenansville school auditorium. The Woman's Auxiliary of Grove church met Monday in the church. Mrs. J. A Gavin presided and had charge of the program. The topic, Home and Community Working To gether, was discussed by by Mes dames Gavin, N. B. Boney and L. S. Southerland, who also had charge of the devotional. Wallace was hostess to the Kontract Klub Monday night. This club usually meets on Wed nesday night but was changed for this time due to conflicts. Mrs. C. B. Guthrie and Mrs. Louise Milch ell were additional guests. High score for members' was ma'le by Mrs. Vance B. Gavin and by Mrs. Guthrie for visitors. Delicious re freshments were served by the hos tess and favors were unique nut cups filled with Halloween candies. Sewing Club Meets Mrs. C. B. Sitterson was hostess to the BMG Sewing Club on Tues day afternoon. A goodly number of members were present with Mrs. Daisy Crave, Mrs. Bess Hines and Miss Lula Hinson as additional guests. After the usual sewing bee the hostess invited the guests into the dining room where they were served a tempting fruit salad plate with accessories. TUES. The marriage of Leona Gollaska, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hunt of 1501 East Mulberry Street in Goldsboro, and Henry Cenus Dall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dail of Kenansville, was solemnized on Tuesday evening October 19th, at the home of the bride's uncle in Goidsboro with the Rev. Mr. Rus sell officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Dewey Hunt. Miss Sarah Hunt, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mr. Paul Edward Dail. brother of the groom was best man. Mrs. George Bennett of Warsaw who is Jr. Red Cross Chairman for Duplin County spent the day in Kenansville last Friday working on Jr. supplies and materials in the Red Cross office. Mrs. N. B. Boney, Exe. Secty. is assisting her with the delivery of these materials to the various schools this week. November is Junior Red Cross Week and it is hoped that all the schools will be enrolled during the first 10 days if possible.
