A varl- ety of entertainment was held anjjl Ftnany prizes awarded. ' ;I Little Miss Susan Clifton, dau ghter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Clifton - was crowned Queen of the First 7; Grade and Wade Taylor was crown ed King. He is the son of Mr. and S Fulton Taylor and in the Second Grade. Carnival proceeds went to the School. Poetry Club hostesses to the Falson Poetry Club Saturday afternoon, at the home of the former. Mrs. I. H. Hines pre sided and the program was present ed by Mi-s. Z. A. Gibson. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Clifton spent the week end in Wilson.; Miss Katherine Taylor of Golds boro was guest of Mrs. Z. A. Gib son over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Rector and Miss Dotty Rector spent Sunday in Raleigh. the program. Mrs. T. W. DeVane will preside at all three meetings. Mrs Precylhe Is Honored Mrs. N. F. MoColman entertained her bridge club and several addi tional friends Friday afternoon at three tables of contract honoring Mrs. Harold Precythe. When scores were totaled Mrs. A. R. Hicks, Jr. won club high and Mrs. Jim Thomp son won for visitors. Mrs. Precythe was presented a miscellaneous shower by the guests. The hostess served strawberry shortcake w:h cream and coffee. Week Of Prayer The Presbyterian Women of the Church will hold .three meetings this week. This, special Week of Prayer and Sell Denial is in cele bration of Home Missions. Monday afternoon the meeting will bo held at the hon;e.of Mrs. J. B. Stroud Jr. and Mr3. A: H. Witherington will present the program. Tuesday after noon the meeting will be held at Mrs. Z. A. Gibson's, and Rev. J. M. Smith will give the program. On Friday afternoon, the meeting will h with Mn .T v. Fnlson and Mrs. J M. Bowden will have charge of with the respect due a loaded gun. Southern Farm Market Summary Hog producers .rushed more hogs to market this week with resulting prices moving irregularly lower. Cattle markets were also irregu lar and calves lost 50 cents to SI.
