"Kit" James, age 52, son of the late John P. and Beatrice Joy ner James of this county, died on Tuesday night, Nov. 23 in the Atlan tic Coast Line Railroad Hospital in Rocky Mount after an illness of about two weeks and declining health for the past four years. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Quinn-McGowan Funeral Home in Warsaw, by Rev. Murphy Smith, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Pinecrest Cemetery in Warsaw. He is survived by his wife, the former Eva Wilson of Magnolia and one daughter, Evelyn James of Raleigh. He was a graduate of the Warsaw High School and of Davidson Col lege and was employed by the ACL for twenty years.
