Christ mas decorations were used throughout-the room in which the tables - were in play and an exchange of gifts was enjoyed. At the conclu- TT sion of play, Mrs. J. B. Wallace as awarded high score prize and thj hostess remembered everyone with a lovely handkerchief. Mrs. Mc Gowen, assisted, by Mrs,. J. O. Stokes, served tempting Christmas tree salad. Sewing Club Friday night. Mrs. F. W. Mc- Gowen was hostess to the BMG Sewing Club with fourteen pres ent. AXUr the. usual sewing bee, the hostess, assisted by - Mrs.- Gavin, sewed a congealed salad course. Each present was given a pretty handkerchief -end an exchange of golts was enjoyed. - Bridge Hostess Miss Martha Pickett was hostess Thursday evening to her bridge club. Novelty Christmas scenes and arrangements were used through out the room and gifts were ex changed. At the conclusion Mrs. Louise Mitchell was awarded high score prize and Miss Erma Williams second nigh. The hostess served a tempting frozen dessert. WACCAMAW BANK Kenansville Ross Hill An attractive Christmas Pageant was presented at Grove Presbyter ian Church Sunday night, - with members of the three Churches tr. Kenansville , : participating. The "Shepherd JStory", was given with Rev. J. G. Morrison and son Joe, Jr. taking the part of the shepherd and the shepherd's son, the rest of the scenes being pantomlned. Little Misses Millie Oates and Frances Lee Stroud were Angels and: Mr) and Mrs. Lauren Sharpe represent ed Mary and Joseph. The - Wise Men were: Messrs. J. B. Sttroud, C. J. Murphy, and Bill Ingram, it. The shepherds were: Lawrenee Southerland, Jr., Ivy Bowden and Robert Franklin Williamson. The Junior and Senior Choirs of the three churches furnished music. The program was under the Unct ion of Mrs. Louise Mitchell and Miss Erma Williams. . art visiting their respective fami lies for the holidays. . v " Jack Williams of Wilmington spent the week end in KenansvUld. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Craft spent the -week end with her father, G. R. Dall. Miss Margaret Williams and i "I D. H, McKa,y shopped in Kin: a Saturday afternoon. , Mrs. Wilbur Adame and children are spending the holidays with Kr . and Mrs. J. L. Williams. The Eastern SUr held its regu lar meeting Tuesday night, Dee. 14. Mrs. Thelma Stroud presided. Tho members enjoyed the 4 new gas heaters that have recently been in stalled by the local chapter. After the business session, Mrs. Matoaka Westbrook gave an intcr oeHrvd otirlatmac nraaram and the members exchanged gifts. The re freshment committee served fru't cake, nuts and coffee.
