' The Penny Branch HDC will hold
Its April meeting Wednesday, April

The Duplin Chapter of the Busi
ness and Professional Weman's
Club experienced their first bit of
entertainment last Wednesday ev
ening when they sponsored a Fash
ion Show in the Warsaw High

i The show, for public interest, in
helping to. secure a toy band for
the Warsaw Grammar School, was
an overwhelming success Approxi
mately sixty models, modeling the
very latest in sports, beach, after
noon, cottons and evening apparel
and hair styles, paraded down the
aisles and .across, the stage to the
announcements and descriptions by
John Sikes, master of ceremonies,
announcer of radio station WRltZ.
He was introduced by Judge R. L.
West Between groupings special
entertainment was presented by
Mrs. Audrey Alphin Butler and her
Rythmn Class of B. F. Grady. The
elaborate costumes andruniq' e tea
chings were of special Interest and
enjoyment. The Sporting Tones",
sometimes four, five or six, presen
ted several selections among them
depiciting "Old Black Joe" and
"Shortenin' Bread" each done in
costume and blackface.

Sunday, April 10, has been set
aside by the-Warsaw Baptists for
the purpose of donating special
