Mrs. Mary Southerland, retiring president, presided. Rev. L. A. Sharpe led the devotional and the program was presented by Mesdames A. T. Outlaw and G. V. Gooding. The nominating committee gave their report on officers for the coming year as follows: President. Mrs. C. B. Silterson; Vice-president, Mrs. Mary Southerland; Secretary-Treasurer, Mrs. O. P. Johnson. After business was completed several ladies from the three chur ches served tea, assorted cookies -nri sandwiches from an attractively arranged table. Mrs. Caroline Gavin had charge of flower arrangements. Mrs. Mary Southerland announ ced that plans wo.ild be announced ater for the Daily Vacation Bible School to be held this summer. Music Audition Misses Sally and Gail Newton, Marv Sue Bureh, Harbara Mitchell, Hetty Ingram and Jean Weeks were the music students from Kensns ville who attended the audition for Mrs. E. V. Vestal was hostess to infembers of the Kontract Klub on Wednesday evening with Mrs. C. B. Sltierson as the only visitor. Pretty flower arrangements of flowers were used. High score prize was won by Mrs. . w. wicuowen and Mrs. Sitterson was also remem bered with a sift. The hostess ser ved a tempting sweet course with coffee. Thurs. Immediately after the ceremony, the couple left by ear for a thxt wedding trip. Mrs. Taylor is the daughter of Mrs. Lucy P. Kornegay and the late Victor E. Kornegay, of Mount OMve. She is a graduate of Calypso High School and attended Mitchell Col lege, Statesvllle, and the Hard barger Business School in Raleigh. She was employed for several yean in the Duplin AAA office in Ke nansville and at present Is a mem ber of the office staff -of the Bank of Mount Olive. Mr. Taylor is the son of Mrs. Lula B. Taylor and the laU Joe Taylor, of Fayetteville, and it a graduate of the White Oak High School in Bladen County. He was employed for several years by the State Highway Commission, andis an Army veteran of World War II with overseas experience.
