ToHome Makers
Eyesight is precious - - how well
we know! Oone way to guard this
treasure la to have adequate light.
Every place where reading, sewing
or other close-seeing jobs are done
thould be illuminated properly.
Choose a study lamp that is tall
nough and with a shade bread
onough to spread a wide circle of
useful light - allowing one to sit
up comfortably while reading. Be
sure the lamp has a diffusing
I owl under the shade to reduce
the glare and soften the light. Sel
lect shades broad at the bottom,
deep enough to conceal the diffu
sing bowl and with a white lining
to reflect the light. Select ihacies
that harmonise where two or more
lamps are used In the same room
Plain shades are always good.
