On Saturday afternoon at 5 o' clock Miss Jenkins was again hon ored when Little Judy Rollins n tertalned at a children's party. Games were enjoyed on the lawn and cookies and lemonade served. As the Jenkins family are moving to Jacksonville next week the above were going-away parties and at the last party Miss Jenkins received a two-toned pocketbook for a going away gift. Ten little children enjoy ed the afternoon. Mrs. Sheffield Entertains Club Mrs. Ed. Sheffield was hostess to her club Thursday afternoon wiih two tables in play among place ments of sweet peas and snap drag ons. High score and traveling award went to Mrs. Robert Frederick and the hostess served a dainty sweet course and cookies. Mrs. Briff Is Club Hostess Mrs. Mitchell Britt entertained her club and several additional guests Tuesday night with two ta bles among an arrangement of ver bena and sweet peas. During pro gressions coca colas and cheezies were served and at the conclusion Mrs. Johnny Mallard received a bor. bon dish for high, Mrs. Ed. Sheffield cut bingo for a fruit bowl and the hostess served dainty re freshments. Stanley Party Mrs. Bess Hines was hostess Thursday afternoon to the members of her bridge club and with Mes- dames Caroline Gavin, C. B. Sitter- son and A. W. Payne as visitors Mrs. George Bennett was awarded high score for members and Mrs. Payne for visitors. The host-.s served ice cram and ice box cook ies. Presents Pupils One of I ho most enjoyable occas ions of the pre-conmencement ev ercises was the recital given by Mrs J. E. Williams' music class on Thur sday afternoon of last week at four o'clock at her home on Hill Street. The receiving rooms were ensuite for the occasion and were attractive ly decorated in colorful spring flow ers in harmonizing shades. Madon na lillics were used in the music room; roses gladioli, larkspur and snapdragons in the reception hall aai d living.room. In the dining room the table was covered with a lace clolh and centered with a sil ver candolabbra holding tall green candles, this emerged from an ob l!;ii! arangement of lemon lillies, outlined wilh lemon and rwrple par-ies and was flanked by four silver holders with tall green cm dies. The program was excellently ren dered, the pupils ranging from be ginners to advanced grades. Each ol then save a go.-d interpreta tion and displayed their excellent training and technique. Youth Group At Beach The Youth Fellowship Group of the three Kenansville Church s spent the week end at Carolina Beach. There were twenty-two young folks in the group. Chaprr ones were Mesdames E. A. Newton, W. M. Thigpen, Rev. L. A. Sharpe, and Mr. and Mrs. Color Holland Entertains Mrs. Wilbur Garner was hostess to her bridge club and several ad ditional guests Tuesday at hei home where two tables were at play among lovely arrangements of larkspur.
