The living room was beautifully decorated . with mixed summer flowers. Winners of prizes In contests were Joyce Pierce, Hilda Lee, Franklin Howard and Barahra Taylor. White brick ice cream decorated with min iature caps and diplomas with the words "Good Luck", on each, cup cakes iced In blue, white and blue being the class colors, were served. Mrs. T. A. Turner assisted the hostess in entertaining and serv in. ' Seniors attending were Hilda Lee, Joyce Pierce, Jessie Lee Heath Rachel Murphy, Barbara Taylor, Sybil Stroud, Florie Smith, Marga ietJUalpass, Mildred Kennedy, Hil la Davis, Stommie Davis. Ruby Dail, Robert Dail, Millard Jenkins, Billy Franklin and Paul Howard. Mrs. AdoTph Howard entertained the Senior Class'at a party at the Emma Webb Recreation Center In Klnston Tuesday night The guests enjoyed games and contests in which prizes were won by Joyit Pierce, Hilda Lee, arid Jean Wha ley. Dancing was also a feature of entertainment. Supper was served buffet style, consisting of chicken salad on let tuce, sliced tomatoes, potato chip, ritz crackers, deviled eggs, coca colas and Individual cakes decora ted with the word "Senior" in blue and white, the class colors. Thirty guests attended. Presents Pupils In Recital Mrs. Jack Perkins presented her music class In recital in the audi torium on Friday night. Nancy Jones was presented the award for the best first year beginner and l eggy Jo Strcud for- the best ad vanced ' student Receiving prizes for memory work were Billy Jores, Lula Mae Jones, Ann Ruffin, Jane Ruffin, Lou Ann Davis, Dorothy Carol Stroud, Betty Brltt Perkins. Sue Hill, Alice Jean Howard, Fran ces Howard and Christine Summer lin. Those receiving rewards for good work and interest were Rachel King, Becky Turner, Frances Stroud, Celia Murphy, Carol Ken- Lee Johnson, Catherine H11L Billy Moore, Georgia Murphy, Georgi ans Howard, Lessle May Howard, Shelby Jean Kornegsy, Linda Spence, and Hazel Boyette, The class presented Mrs. Perkins with a beautiful jardiniere In ap Pteclatljn for her services given nem during the year. Rev. H. I. Glass, pastor of Queen Street Methodist Church in Klnston preached the Baccalaureate sermon in the Pink Hill School auditorium at 8 o'clock Sunday evening. Miy 29. Mrs. Sanderson Dies In Kinston Mrs. Virginia Sanderson, age 40, who resided near Beulaville died in a Klnston hospital Sunday morn ing. She had been seriously ill for the pas week. Funeral ervices were held at the home at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. George Shep herd, Christian Advent minister of Wilmington. Burial was in the Tho mas Cemetery near Beulaville. She is survived by her husband, D. W. Sanderson: four children, Helen, Jessie Calvin, and William Earl of the home and Jarvis LeRoy Sanderson of the U. S. Army in Japan. The annual membership of the Flue-Cured Tobacco Stabilization Corporation will be held at State College, Raleigh, June 24.
