in ihe home of Mrs. Kate Herring
with Mrs. Leonard Herring as joint
hostess. Mrs. Bland Pickett presi't
ed. The devotional was given- by
Mrs. Myra Carlton. Mesdames R. J.
Jones and Bland Pickett had charge
of the program.
The Annie Kate Powell Circle
met Monday night in the home of
Mrs. S. A. Jones with Mrs. Kenneth
FusseU co-hostess. Mrs. Ed Pollock
presided and Mrs. Ed Hill led the
devotional. Mrs. Milford Quinn had
charge of the program.
Methodist
Circle" No. 1 met Monday night
with Mrs. Herbert Middleton. Mrs.
S. J. Powell presided and led tue
devotional and gave the 6th chap
ter from the study book. Mrs. H. R.
Hipp gave the 5th chapter.
Circle No. 2 and 3 met jointly
Monday night in the home of Mrs.
ft. L. West. Mrs. Robert Lewis and
Mrs. D. L. Carlton were co-hostesses.
Mrs. M. A. Smith taught the
study book.
At each of the above Circle, meet
ings delicious refreshments were

Carson-Chambers
Miss DoUie Elizabeth Chambers,
daughter of Mrs.' Hattie Chambers
and the late A. A. Chambers of
Warsaw became the bride of Robert
Stewart Carson, - son of Mr. and
Mrs. Herbert Dall Carson of Lill
ington in a private ceremony Satur
day evening at ten o'clock at the
Methodist Parsonage.-The Rev. R.
L. Crossno officiated.
. The bride wore a dark green taf
feta dress with white accessories.
Mrs. Carson is a graduate of ths
Warsaw High School and for the
past year has been employed by the
Warsaw Drug Store. Mr. Carst n is
a graduate of the Llllington High
School and attended the University
of Pittsburgh. He entered Cadet's
training before joining the Army
Air Corps where he served for three
years during the war.
