Farm Questions
Q. Pleaseadvise me on selecting
trees and shrubs for landscaping
my yard
A. Trees and shrubs selected
should not only add beauty to the
grounds but. should also serve a
useful purpose, such as furnishing
shade or should decorate or soften
some part of the house or to hide
n unattractive view.
Many trees add food to the table.
These Include pecan, walnut, cherry
and pear, all of which furnish good
nhade and edible products.
Some of the shrubs which pro
duce edible fruit as ypll as being
ornamental are the quince, elagnus,
chokeberry, hazelnut, blackhaw, fig.
huckleberry and blueberry.
