Nix Hospital in San Antonio, Tex

Attend Convention
Mrs. H. A. Edwards and Miss
Betty Edwards went to Charleston,
S. C. Wednesday to represent the
East Coast Flower Farm of Pink
Hill, at the Florist Association
Convention being held there. Miss
Edwards remained for a visit with
a former suitem.ite at Montreat
College, Miss Polly Smith who is
a director of religious education at
the First Presbyterian Church in
Charleston.

Mrs. Leslie Turner was hostess
to the Women of thePresbyterian
Ch'irch at a meeting at her home
Tuesday night. Mrs. T. J. Turner
presided. The program was pre
sented by Mrs. N. P. Farrior, as
sisted by Mrs. J. It. Davis. Mrs. T.
J. Turner gave statistic? on Wom
an's Work which revealed that It
is one of the most efficient asen
cies of Its kind in our nation. Re
ports wero heard from tome of the
cause secretaries. A "good attend
ance was had. The hostess served
delicious strawberries with whip-
ped cream.

Mrs. J. F. May was hostess to the
Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club
at her home Wednesday. Club high
score prize was won- by. Mrs. Mel
vin I ones; second high to Mr. Ike
Stroud and consolation to Mrs.
Linwood Turner. Mrs. Floyd Heath
won high prize for visitors and Mrs.
W. H. Jones won bingo prize. The
