ciated. A program of nuptial music was
presented by Mrs. Carter F, Will
iams, organist and Tracy Ingle.

her father, wore a gown of duchess
satin styled with a yoke of marqui
sette edged with Valenciennes lace.
The full skirt was caught up over
tiers of matching lace ruffles and
fell Into a full train. Her fingertip
veU of Illusion fell from a tiara of
braided Illusion and seed pearls.
She carried a white prayer book
topped with a white orchid. ' '
Mrs. Otis Aldrldge of Warsaw
was her sister's matron of honor.
She wore a gown of sky-blue taf
feta with matching hat and carried
a bouauet of nlnk rosea.
The bridegroom had his father
as nest man. ushers were Harrison
Coley of Raleigh and Elwood Rev
eUe of Warsaw.
The mother of the bride wore a
gown of blue crepe and a corsase
of white roses. The bridegroom's
mother wore a gown of teal crepe
and a wrist corsage of pink roses.
Following the ceremony the pa
rents of the bride entertained at
a reception at the Daniels House,
Rex Hospital:
The bridal couple left immedia
tely following the reception for a
wedding trip.' For traveling, Mrs.
Skldmore wore a suit of fawn grey
gabardine and dusty rose blouse
with black accessories. Her corsage
was an orchid.
Mrs. Skldmore is a graduate of
the Warsaw schools and Rex Hospi
tal Nursing School.
Mr. Skldmore Is a graduate of
the Raleigh City schools and atten
ded State College. During the war

he served in the Marine Corps.
Mr. and Mrs. Skldmore will make
their home in Raleigh, where he is
connected with the P. Lorlllard
Company and she is on' the staff
of nurses at Rex Hospital.
Mrs. E. E. Jones is spending two
weeks in Morristown and Hope,
Tenn. with Mr. Jones who Is lo
cated there on business.
Mr. and Mrs. R. L. West and
Miss Anne West and Bobby Porter
attended the Carolina-Wake Forest
game Saturday.
Arnold Jones is recuperating
from a painful muscular Injury
suffered Friday night In the Warsaw-Clinton
game.

chemical course given at the Dlvi
slon'i School Center recently. This.
subject covered all types of defense
in chemical warfare, the character
istics of all poisonous gases, and the
way to treat a person-affected by it
Sgt. Anderson Is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Anderson, lifetime resi
dents at Warsaw as farmers. Prior
to entering the army In April 1048,
he was employed by the Caswell
Hotel, Kinston, N. C.
Warsaw Defeated
By Clinton
Clinton's Dark Horses smashed
the .Warsaw High eleven 46-0 Frl-
day night in an East Central Con
ference game. The win was Clin
ton's third In the conference as
against one defeat.
The Clinton scoring was spread
among three players, with Ed Cor-
bett scoring the first two, Billy
Robinson getting one and Dickie
Bethune scoring three on passes
and another on a lateral after a
pass. Leon Brock kicked four of
five extra points.

The Annual Conference was held
at the Magnolia church Monday
evening. The conference was pre
ceded by a delicious supper at the
Womens Club Building with the
Magnolia and Friendship Churches
serving. District Supt. Briarcliff of
Wilmington was present and pre
sided at the communion service.
Mr. Briarcliff stated that this
charge had not asked for a change
in pastor, so it was supposed that
the five churches are pleased with
Mr Glover and will welcome him
and his beloved wife back if con
ference sends him back.
The WMS met Tuesday afternoon
with 13 present and Mrs. J. E. Ham
ilton in tne chair. Mrs. M. T. Tuck
er had charee of the oroeram. Mrs
Paul Bass conducted the devotion
al Program leaders assisted by sev
eral others gave interstering pro
grams.
