In Hospital Miss Fannie Wilson suffered painful injuries Monday as a re sult of a fall in the kitchen of no home. She was taken to the Golds boro Tuesday for x-rays and treat ment. . Circles Meet ' Baptist The Annie Kate Powell and Katie Murray Circles met Jointly Mon day night in the Powell home. Leads South In Farm Bureau A. C. Edwards, president of the N. C. Farm Bureau, has announced that the organization leads the South and ranks fifth in the nation with a certified membership of 72,221. North Carolina regained first place among Southern Farm Bu reaus from Georgia, which finished third this year with 71,145, while Alabama ranked second with 72, 024 . Nationally, the Tar Heel State was led by Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and New York. At the end of the 1945 drive. North Carolina ranked seventh. They have a wonderful program and gifts will be exchanged. Mrs. I. H. Blanchard Buried In Warsaw Mrs. Irene Howard Blanchard. 77, widow of D. H. Blanchard, died at her home near Warsaw at 1 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services were held from the home at 2:30 D m. Tues day with Rev.
