Beulavillc Home Demonstration
Club held their annual Christmas
party at the home of Mrs. Sidney
Hunter. The program consisted of
singing Christmas carols and
"Dickens Christmas Story" given
by Mrs. Phoebe Pate. The member's
exchanged gifts. After which the
refreshment committee, Mrs. M. M.
Thigpen, Mrs. H. F. Hunter and
Mrs. Dai.'y Nethercutt served punch
from a beautifully decorated table
with Christmas colors and burring
tapers, nuts, cakes, candies and
open faced sandwiches.
Good byes were said to Miss
Ermie Sanderson.

a big way. Every home had many'
colorful lights.
First prize winner of the contest
went to Mr. and Mrs. Jim D. San
dlin and Mr. and Mrs. Charlton
Sandiin who live in a duplex ap
artment Their yard was most at
tractively decorated with a moving
Santa Claus and his reindeer; a
revolving Christmas tree and a
scene with the three camels and
wUsemen.
Second prize went fo Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Miller, who had a beau
tiful Christmas tree and their win
dows decorated with lights and a
Merry Christmas sign. In the yard
vas a snow man.
Third place was won by Mr. and
Mrs. Adolph Jones with their yard
full of colorful bulbs and their
porch artistically decorated as a
livingroom with the fireplace,
stockings and lighted Christmas
tree.
Among the others who did not
win a prize, but were mentioned
were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Matth
ews, and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton
Campbell.
Judges for the contest were Mrs.
A. T. Outlaw, Mr. Faison McGowtn
a.'.d Mr. Bob Grady of Kenansville.
