Mrs. Nannie Turner Dies In Hospital Mrs. Nannie Whaley Turner, 51, widow of the late Walter A. Turner of Beulaville died In Memorial Hos pital in Kinston early Tuesday morning after an illness of about two months. FuneraLservices were held Wed nesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home. Burial was in the Turr.er family cemetery. She is survived by two ons, Lee and Bruce Turner; three daughters, Mrs. May Whaley and Miss Retha Turner all of Beulaville, and Mrs. Hazel Jones of Kinston; six grand children; two sisters, Mrs. Mariah Coley and Mrs. Addie Kennedy both of Beulaville; and one brother, Frank Whaley of Jacksonville. Examiner Harmon James of tho Highway Safety Divi sion, stationed at Kinston, reported today. Although drivers in this category have until June 30 to obtain their renewals, they will save time if they report for examination early tin the period while he is not rushed, Ex aminer James pointed out. He will be at the Duplin County courthouse in Kenansville from 8:30 A.M. through 5:30 P.M. Feb. 7th, and on every other Tuesday thereafter. Examiner James urged that N through Q drivers in the area clip his schedule and report at their earliest convenience to the station nearest them to be examined for a new license. Gordon Bennett Kennedy, age 42, prominent farmer and son of Mrs. Josephine Gresham Kennedy and the late Dr. G. W. Kennedy, died suddenly early Friday morning of last week of a heart attack at his home in Beulaville. Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at 8:00 o'clock from the Beulaville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Walter Goodman officiating, assisted by Rev. S. A. Smith, pastor of the Beulaville Free Will Baptist Church.
