Yojing People's
Work In Church
The churches of today offer the
young people good opportunities
for growth and service. There Is a
program for each age group that
promotes study, worship, and ser
vice in the Presbyterian Church
there are the Pioneers, ages 12-14;
Seniors, ages 15-17; and Older
Young People, ages 18-24. For the
Senior Young People there is a
Council which promotes unity,
fellowship and study.
On Sunday, March 19th three
members of the Presbytery's
Council visited the Faison Group
and gave a progroro of instruction.
recreation, and 'inspiration. They
were Bill Hood, Delaney Boney,
and Archie Faires of Wallace. The
program began at 4 p.m. with a
meeting to discuss problems that
confront the council, followed by
recreation. A quizz was held and
questions were asked by the local
Fellowship. This was followed by
supper after which the program
came to a close with an inspiring
worship service led by Archie
Faires.
Some of the things the Faison
Young People did during the clos
ing church-year were: Furnished
and pinned on the people roses at
Sunday School and Church on
Mother's Day; presented program
