To The People
: Spruig j ;
After much thought and discussion on the matter, I have decided
not to seek re-election to the office I now occupy, the office of Judge
of the General County Court of Duplin County.
,: My failure to offer for reelection is not to be construed as an en
dorsement of any announced candidate, nor is my decision based on
anything other than my own free will- and desire.
It is my genuine desire to engage in a general law practice. Hav
ing served the people of Duplin County as Solicitor of the County
Court, the people as a vhole with over four and a half years in the
Army Air Forces, and now some four years as Judge of the County
Court, I have been removed from a general practice for more than
Twelve Years; " v x
While I am not seeking reelection, I am, in no way, withdraw
ing my interest in the general welfare of the people of Duplin '
County, regardless of my personal ambition and efforts.
v v Here t express my sincere appreciation to the citizens of Duplin
County, for their consideration in the past, and hope that they will
recognize my sincerity of purpose in desiring to enter a General Law
practice lat the end of my present term as Judge of the Genera
County Court.
