Guests of the chapter were the members of the Pink Hill School Board and the County School Board. 1 Honored Mr. and Mrs. Selby Turner, vis iting here from Ccarsdale, N. Y., were entertained at a buffet sup per by Mr. and.Mrai.LiH.' Turner at their home here Sunday evening. Guests Included relatives from Jacksonville, .New Bern and Kin ston as well as Pink Hill. Women Of Church Mrs. T, A. Turner was . hostess to the Presbyterian Women of the Church at her home Tuesday night. The president, Mrs. E. M. Sills presided. Mrs. T. J. Turner -gave the introduction to the Bible Stu dy and Mrs. T A. Turner was in charge of the program. Hostesses for the year were named and the pledges wejje made. The hostess served refreshments. VFW Auxiliary A regular meeting of the Auxili ary of the Willard Smith Post of VFW was held at the hut Monday night. Mrs. J. E. Johnson, Pres. presided. Attending AMYF sab-district meeting at Bethel Church, near La Grange recently were the follow ing young people from Pink Hill Methodist Church: Howard Davis, Billy Moore, Jimmie Perkins, Becky Turner, Lou Ann Davis, Betty Jean Davis, Mary Nell Kennedy and Peggy Jo Stroud. They .were chap eroned by Mrs. H. C. Turner and Rev. Tom Horner. Attendance from Pink was the second largest in the district Miss Connor Jones of Washing ton, D. C. spent Easter at home here. Mr. jind Mrs. Jasper Smith left Monday for ElRado, Texas to visit their daughter, Mrs. Charles Saun ders and Mr. Saunders. Mrs. H. E. Maxwell and Mrs. Clarence Grady of Kinston were recent guests of Miss Sarah Ann Maxwell in Richmond, Va. They were joined Sunday by Miss Emi lelgh Maxwell of Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. Selby Turner and family of Scarsdale, N. Y. are vis iting Mrs. L. R. Turner and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Horner of New Bern and Dr. George Horner of Williamston were guests of Rev. Tom Horner Sunday. 'Miss Hilda Lee of ECTC spent Easter at her home here. Mr. and Mrs. David Grady and sona have returned to Alexandria, Va. after visiting relatives here. R. K. Watlington, Sr. and Miss Hazel Watlington of Reidsvllle spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Watlington. Grady Students Tour Raleigh Seventh grade pupils accompa nied by their teacher. Miss Bessie Kornegay, Mrs. Dempsey Smith and Mrs. Lewis Westbrook, grade mothers, made a tour of points of interest in Raleigh Thursday, Mar. 30th. One of the most enjoyable hours of the trip -was a private concert by Kingham Scott of the WPTF staff.
