BRIDE ELECE IS HONORED AT SHOWER Miss Hannah Pridgen, bride- elect, was honored at an "old fashion" shower at the home of Mrs. Charity Kalmar near Faison at 8:00 p.m. on May 13th with Mrs. Kalmar and Mrs. Herman Taylor as co-hostesses. The house was decorated thoroughout with mixed spring flowers and the beauty of the garden was enhanced by Ja panese Lanterns placed among the flowers and shrubs. The bride and groom received in the garden, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Kalmar directed guests to a lower garden where they were served chicken salad and pimento sandwiches, cream cheese on crackers, toasted pecans, midget pickles, cookies and punch from a table overlaid with a handmade linen cloth. WARSAW STUDENTS GRADUATE AT DUKE Three students from the Warsaw area are candidates for degrees at Duke University's 98th Commence ment Monday, June S, at 10:30 a.m. in Duke's Indoor Stadium. ENJOY HAYRIDE The Warsaw High School Seniors were entertained at an enjoyable hayride Wednesday night when Misses Phylis Whitfield and Evelyn Jean Davis were hostesses in their honor. Guests gathered at the High School at 8:30 p.m. and were car ried to Dudley's Lake. Upon arri val hot dogs, marshmallows, and drinks were served. About 40 at tended. BIBLE CLASS MEETS The Sallie E. The couple plan to be married in the Warsaw Baptist Church in August. Miss Gaylor attended Warsaw High School and is a member of the First Baptist Church there. She is a student at High Polnr-Col-lege at present. Mr. Gordan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Gordan of High Point. He is a student at High Point College. He plans to finish his college work next January. The couple will live In High Point following the wedding until they complete their college work. BIBLE SCHOOL The Warsaw Presbyterian Church opened its annual Vacation Bible School Monday for one week at the church. Classes are from ,9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Miss Sallie Bowden will direct the school. Misses Nell and Sallie Bowden are conducting the Kindergarten pupils. Mrs. J. C. Page and Miss Lenora Womack, Primary; Mrs. J. W. Farrlor and Mrs. J. M. Peirce, Juniors; Misses Anne Bowden and Peggy Korne gay, recreation. Music will be -under Mrs. W. J. Middleton, Jr. Light refreshments will be served each morning by the women of the church.
