Medical Symposium Wrightsville August 25 The 4th annual Medical Sym posium, conducted by the New Hanover County Medical Society, is scheduled for Friday, August 25 at Wrightsville Beach, according to officers of the Society. The Symposium will begin at 11 a.m. and will conclude at 10 p.m. with Intermission for luncheon and dinner. All meetings will be held at Lumina Pavilion. Principal speakers will be Dr. J. Arnold Bargen of the Mayo Clin ic, Rochester, Minn.; Dr. Samuel F. Marshall of the Lahey Clinic, Rnston. Mass.: Dr. C. L. Jackson of Temple University Medical School, Philadelphia, Pa.; Dr. T. li. Miller of the University of Pa. Medical School. Philadelphia; and Dr. Emil Novak of John Hopkins Medical School, Baltimore, Ma. The Medical Auxiliary has also scheduled a luncheon for the ladies of' the Auxiliary. Barefoot also of Wil mington, secretary. Negro 4-H'ers Will Attend Short Course Delegates from nearly every ne gro club in Duplin County will at tend the 4-H Short Course to be held at A. and T. College In Greens boro, July 17-22 reports Mrs. Mable Peterson, Negro Home Demon stration Agent. These girls and boys represent the following clubs: Vera Hayes, Wallace; Bernice Whit ehead, Chinquapin; Elouise Pickett, Beulaville; Evelyn Carlton, Tea chey; Rebecca Henry, Rose Hill; Gloria Blackmore, Warsaw; Cluey Hargrove, Vernell Thompson and Robert Simmons, Faison; and Pe thuel Hall and Sarah Miller ,Ke nansville. These girls and boys will give a full report of the activities during the week at the September club meeting. The one giving the best report at this meeting will re peat it at the County Achievement Day in November. R. E. Wilkins, Negro County Agent will accompany the dele gates to the short course.
