Harper - Voncannon Vows Are Said
In a ceremony of dignity and
simplicity Miss Virginia Haymore
Voncannon, daughter of Mrs. Hay
more of High Point,, became the
bride of Mr. R. D. Harper, Jr., son
of Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Harper, Sr.,
of AVbertson on Monday, August
14, 1950 at the home of the groom.
Ret. R. D. Harper, father of the
groom, performed the double ring
ceremony. A program of nuptial
music was 'presented by Mr. Wil
bur Eubanks of Kinston and Miss
Margaret Jean Harper, sister of
the groom, soloist.
. After the wedding a reception
was given in honor of the- bride
and" groom. Cookies,, punch and
mints were served.
Immediately following the re
ception the couple left for their
home in High Point where they
will' reside. v v
About thirty close friends and
relatives attended the ceremony.
