circuit assembly of Jehovah's wit
nesses at the Recreation Center in
' New Bern, September 29, SO and
' October 1, 1950. No less than 600
will attend this Christian conven
tion from the 24 congregations In
eastern North Carolina. -
About 29 ordained ministers will
participate In the three-day pro
gram giving a variety of Bible in
struction. Some will explain how
to conduct simple family home Bl
ble studies, while others will stress
the importance of applying Bible
principles in our every day lives.

be considered; and instruction will
be given to aid ministers of Jeho
vah's witnesses to promote their

out eastern North Carolina.
The principle speaker will be D.
. E. Stull. ordained minister, and
.graduate of the Watchtower school
of Gilead, New York. Mr. Stull Is
a well-known speaker and author
ity on the Scriptures throughout
eastern United States. G. D. Miller,
a minister from Brooklyn, N. Y.
who has been assisting the 24 con
gregations in North Carolina Cir
cuit One for the past two years in
expanding their public preaching
activities, will serve as chairman
for the convention.

The work and organization of
Jehovah's witnesses has been ban
ned In many communist-controlled
countries, where the witnesses are
severely persecuted, imprisoned,
and many killed. While Jehovah's
witnesses take no part in political
nor governmental affairs or con
troversies, yet through their offi
cial publications, "The Watchtow
er" and "Awake!" magazines, they
have vigorously denounced and ex
posed - godless-communism - as ; a
"menace to the world", and among
the evils to be destroyed by God
at the "end of this world." ' ,--
The Investigating committee of
the Federal Loyalty Boards have
never found Jehovah's witnesses to
research organizations pur the question to
113,597 doctors. Doctors in every field of
medicine were asked, "What cigarette do.
you smoke. Doctor?" The answers from,
