H. D. C. MEETS Mrs. L. H. Turner waa hoatess to the Pink Bill BDC at her home Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Leslie Quinn presided, and Mrs. Turned demonstrated "Sweet Potatoes, and How To Use Them". The club planned a gift exchange at the next meeting and members were asked to bring two gifts for shut-Ins in the community. Plans were made for the Forest festival to be held in Klnston Saturday. A new member waa added to the roll. Fifteen attended. The hostess served punch and cookies. BRIDAL SHOWER Mri J. I. Sheppard entertained at a bridge shower honoring her daughter Mrs. C L. Whitfield, re cently married, at her home on Albertson Rt 1, Saturday evening, Oct. 21. Guests were greeted by Mrs. Sheppard and Mrs. Whitfield. After bridal games were played and prizes awarded, guests were di rected to the dining room by Mrs. Hugh J. Smith and Mrs. Zeb. Wil llams.
