reflects the sparkling health and
happiness that childhood in America
claims as its rightful heritage. It
is a smile that reflects also the kind
of care that will make Ilia gTOwnup
years free of the dental troubles that
are plaguing the adult generation
today. ' ' -iM ...- ;
' Tommy is a lucky youngster be
cause his parents and teachers and
community know that making dental
care available to all children is the
most practical way of improving the
nation's dental health. '..: . '
. They know that it hi possible to
prevent loss of teeth from decay if
a person starts early in life to
follow such simple rules as early
treatment of email cavities, proper
diet with refined sugars held at a
minimum and correct brushing of
the teeth after eating.
The American Dental Association
has long urged the establishment of
community dental health programs
giving priority to children, in con
trast to such health schemes as in
Britain where dental care for chil
dren has broken down rapidly under
government control of the health
services.
