Burial was in Maplewood cemetery there. Surviving-are three sons, David, with whom he lived; Robert of Mt Olive, Rt 2, and Alfred of Hope well, Vs., three daughters, Mrs. Na than Tadlock of Calypso, Mrs. James Gyles of Calypso and Mrs. Robert Miller of Mt. Olive, Rt. 4. One brother, Charles Whitman of Mt. Olive and 12 great-granchil-dren. He bad been a member of North East Free Will Baptist church near here for about 50 years.
