Blue mold was found on a tobac
co bed in Cook County, Georgia,
January 22. This is ons of the
earliest dates that blue mold has
made it's appearance in the flue
lured tobacco belt. The winter
in eastern North Carolina during
recent weeks has been periodically
warm with foggy mornings which Is
favorable for the development and
spread of the blue mold disease.
