" I am asking for re-election as County Commis sioner from the 2nd district for one more term. I haa hoped to retire at the end of this term but due to the fact that the Duplin General Hospital is just beginning to get underway I would like to serve through its construction and see it off to a good start nasmuch as I have been involved in the pro gram from its very outset until the present time. There are others in my district just as capable as I am to represent you and they are entitled to an;opporfunify. I have tried to represent my dis irict and all people of Duplin County to the best of my ability. There are a few more things I would like to do before retiring. If nominated and elected this time I will not ask for the office again.
