And the over whelming conviction that there was nothing I could do. Oh, the help lessness of It. On the floor before me my three-year-old was playing paper dolls. Suddenly, she looked up and, as if the question had strangely just occurred to her, asked seriously, "Mamma, how far could God hear?" Then she laughed merrily, the laugh of a child confident and sure, Don't tell me, she cried. "I know: God can hear from any where, can't He? ' And suddenly I knew with all sureness what I could do I could put my worries into hands more capable than my own and leave them there with confidence. For a while I had forgotten God; now I remembered Him. And some how, I knew He would listen if 1 but talked to Him and asked Him. I did ask and He did listen. And it was a lesson I have carried with me through other trials. When the burden is too big for me, alone. I think, "How far can God hear? He can hear from anywhere " By SARAH JOINER lations. Mrs. S.
