on Tuesday afternoon, when Misses
Teachey and Mrs. Doane Cottle en
tertained . with n afternoon tea
between 4 and 8:30 at the borne of
Mrs. Cottle's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Graham Fussell. . '
The guests were greeted at the
door by Mrs. Cottle and Invited to
the living room where Mrs. Mary
Evelyn Brown presented them to
the honoree. Receiving with Miss
Mary Evelyn Brown and Bobbye
Teachey were her mother, Mrs.
Norman B. Teachey and the mother
of the groom, Mrs. John Rackley,
and Miss Joyce Teachey, sister of
the honored guest They were
presented shoulder , corsages by
the hostesses. - -

living room to the dining room byi
Miss Lois Fussell. ; Miss Bobbye
Daphyny Teachey and Linda Brown
in serving bridal cakes, toasted
nuts, and green and white mints

The dining room buffet held"!

loll and greenery and on either
side were burning white candles
held in twin crystal candelabra
with climbing green and white cli
matls. Beautiful arrangements
were used in the living room.
Mrs. A. R. Teachey presided at
the register on the way out, and
good byes were said to Mrs. Gra
ham Fussell.
Approximately sixty five guests
called during the afternoon.
Among the out of town guests
were Mrs. James Ra:kley and Mrs.
Sanders of Warsaw, Mrs. Felton
Rackley of Wallace, Mrs. Donald
Lanier of Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Den
nis Brown, Misses Linda and Mary
Evelyn Brown of Wallace.

Vows Spoken
In a noon ceremony, Sunday,
August 31, Miss Ruth Fussell and
Donald Buckner were married in
the Rose Hill Baptist Church. The
Rev. J. V. Case conducted the
ceremony. . ; i . .y
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
George Fussell, and the late Mrs.
Fussell.. Mr. Buckner is the son of
Mrs. David Buckner and the late
Mr. Buckner.
The bride entered the church
with her father, and Mrs. Lee
Sheffield was Maid of Honor. At
tending the bride groom as best
man, was James Rivenbark of Wal
lace. i '
The bride wore a suit of light
blue with , navy accessories. She
carried a prayer book topped with
a white orchid.
Immediately 'following the cere
mony the wedding party received
guests in the vestibule of the
church. .

members of the rehearsal party of
the Johnson-Latham wedding at
a cake cutting on Friday evening
in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carr.
The guests assembled in the liv
ing room, were presented to the
members of the bridal party by
the bride and groom elects. The
living room table was attractive
with a wedding bouquet of white
chrysanthemums, celematls and
fern.
Candles furnished the light aU
through the home and in the din
ing room the table was overlaid
with a white linen cutwork and
lace cloth and centered with twin
candles with abronettes filled with
white clematis and scattered pink
sweetheart rosebuds'. ' The three
tiered wedding cake, buffed with
a white lace net . double ruffle,
and topped with a minature bride
and groom, was served by Miss
Frances Heyer after, the bride and
groom had cut the first slice. At
the other end of the table, punch
was served from at cut glass bowl
by Miss Bessie Johnson, .
, Fifty nine guests enjoyed the
evening. Guests present other than
the wedding party were out of town
friends of the bride and groom
