A birthday cake with six candles centered the table. The Past Matrons and Past Patrons were also honored at this time. Present wor thy matron Ruth Harper, presided. Circle No. 1 of Pink Hill Presby terian Women of the Church met with Mrs. Jasper Smith on Thurs day night, postponed from Tuesday night, due to the missionary talk at the church. Mrs. E. W. Grady, chairman, was in charge. The Bible Study "Birth of the Christian Church," from Acts, Chapter 2, was also presented by Mrs. rady. The observance of the World Day of Prayer, March 5, and Week of Pray er and Self Denial, February 28 through March S, was discussed. Mrs. Earl Smith and Miss Lula Tyndall reported on Presbyterial held in Wilmington Monday' and Tuesday. Mrs. Smith served refreshments prior to adjournment.
