GEORGE A BELL. George A. Bell, 72, died at 10:55 p.m. Sunday at his home in the Rones. Chapel community near Mt. Olive after a year of ill health and a month's critical illness. Surviving are Mrs. Bell, the former Amanda Rogers of Duplin County; seven sons, Lem of New Bern, Georgie of Richmond, Va., Willie, Bennie, Frankie, Jesse and Lonme, all of Route 2, Mount Olive; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Joyner of Raleigh; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral and burial were held at the Swinson family ceme tery near the home at 3 p.m. Tues day with the Rev. W. H. Willis, Free Will Baptist minister of Kin gton, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Carter, Free Will Bap tist minister of Goldsbero. Mr. Bell was a retired farmer and a member of the Rooty Branch Baptist Church at Summerlin's Crossroads. Blizzard, president conducted the business session. Mrs. Willard Brown read the scripture lesson and directed the program.
