Club Meets "Take more time to conserve food for the home" said. Miss Mae Ha ger, assoc i ger, assistant home' demonstration agent at a meeting of the Scott's Store Club which was held in the home of Mrs. Emmet tKelly on Wednesday afternoon, March 3. Miss Hager gave a demonstration on "Food Conservation" by using "The Wheel of Good Eating." The wheel contained seven spokes, each spoke represented 'a group of the seven basic foods which should be eaten 4laily. . The agent urged the group to -save more fruits and vegetables not only by freezing but by canning, drying and putting into storage. Save your own foods and get better quality with less cost. The group was assisted by the agent in judging a collection of can ned fruits and vegetables that had been taken to the meeting by the members. Mrs. Cecil Kornegay, music lead er, gave her report and read a poem "Bless This House". It is used as a song also and is one of Mrs: Eisenhower's favorite poems. Miss Lorena Waller gave a health report and Mrs. Sam Waller being clothing leader showed and talked about a collection of costume jew elry she had gotten together.
