Pr. Zeno Wall, former pastor of the bride at the ceremony, church officiated with the double ring rites and Mrs. Hubert Plaster was at the organ for program of nuptial music using the traditional wedding marches and including in her med ley. The new Mrs. Penney is a daugh ter of Mrs. Hugh Allison Logan and the late Mr. Logan of Shelby. She was graduated-front Shelby High School and attended Woman's Col lege, U.N.C. Greensboro, since which time she has been highly active in Shelby social and civic life. She past president ot the American Legion Auxiliary, serving more than one term was charter president of the V. F. W. Post Auxiliary. She has served as department officer of that group and is currently de partment Junior vice-president of the VJVW. Auxiliary.- She is member of the Literario Book club. He tractored fire lane around the field as precaution. Where the field started burning the wind be gan blowing and the fire crossed the' lane and raced for ' nearby tobacco barns, fields and forest Mr. Sutton and his help were no match for the lire.
