Mrs.' Parker has asked the group to meet with her each time. Paul Mull Guest Speaker At R. A. Meet . The first meeting of the Boyal Ambassador Chapter of the Beula ville "Baptist Church was held last Thursday afternoon hi the church auditorium. 'Rev. Paul Mull, pastor of Johnson and New Hope churches, was the guest speaker. The Royal Ambassador is an or ganization for ' boys sponsored by the W. M. U. All boys ages 9 thru 12 are eligible for membership in the chapter. There were nine boys at the first meeting along with mem bers of the advisory committee ap pointed by the WM.V. Those on this committee are: Mrs. Orvis Thigpen, WJtlU. president, Rev. A. L. Brown, chairman, Frank Thomas, Herman Gore, Richard Bos tic and Arnold Thomas. Counselors for the group are Mrs. Orzo Thigpen and Mrs. Elwood Quinn. A . Youth ' fellowship has been organized at the Beulaville Presby terian Church. The group leader is Mrs. L J. Sandlin, Jr. and assisting her are Mrs. Scott Smith and Mrs. Russell Lanier. Mrs. Ray Cupp di rects the musics Officers are: presi dent, Agnes Lanier; Vice-president, Willie Horne; Secretary, Elaine Brown; Treasurer, Joyce Blizzard; Program chairman, Marie Smith. The Intermediate group leader is Mrs. Morris Jackson; assistants, Mrs. Aubrey Johnston and Mrs. Joe Albertson. Officers are: Royce Jones, president; Judy Sholar, vice president; Imogene Jackson, Sec retary; Willie Owen Guy, Treasurer; Sally. Jo Kennedy, program chair man. The group meet each Sunday afternoon at six o'clock . Mrs. Leland Grady has been the Director, who is organizing the fel- Auxiliary Meet , The Home Mission Auxiliary of Beulaville Holiness Church met for their monthly meeting. Mrs. Hamp ton presided and led the opening prayer. The program of the month. was developed by group discussion. A business meeting gave secretary reports by Mrs. J. H. Whaley and Mrs. Owen Edwards, the treasurers report. Plans were made for a sup per to be held at the school cafe teria on April 10th from 5 to 8 o'clock. The group dismissed with prayer. Meet At Baptist Church ;"Liftlng i America's Morals" was the program studied last week when the Beulaville Baptist W.M.S. met with 61 perseht The bulletin board held a large white poster,' printed, "The Big Four" and under the heading i; "Juvenile Delinquency", "Family Relations," "Racial Preju dice"? and "Alcoholism.' 'f , Mrs. Orvis Thigpen presided, di recting the' group id hymn singing and prayer. The secretary reports were given by Mrs. Lula Q. Parker and v Community Missions plans made for ensueing months. , Trumpeter Ervin Dobson opened the meeting with the national An them. : . Miss Zelma Matthews led the de votional period, "Feet of Clay", Daniel 2:31-36. Miss Glonda Cum- mlngs, Mrs. George Whaley, Mrs. Rheuben Hunter, Mrs. Jay Thomas and Mrs. Horace Cotlle developed the first part of the program in playette form, "Some One Has To Care." Mrs. Orzo Thigpen, program chairman introduced members of the W. M. U. to develop the. latter part in a table discussion. The phrases of the big four were given by Mesdamea Paul Parker, Marion Bratcher, Bud Miller and Hosea Hunter. Pledge to the Chris tion and America flags and the Bible were given by 1 the group. Soloist, C. P. Howering sang, "God Bless America." Prayer dismissed the group. The dining hall was decorated in the patriotic motif. The serving table was centered with an arrangement of white spirea flanked with flags and red and white paper strips were draped together ar.T carried from the center to each corner of the table and tied. Ribbon sandwiches in red, white and blue, Jello with whipped cream in red fruit cups, cake and coffee was served. Miss Lou Jackson was' in .charge of the decorations and refreshments Assisting her were Mrs. R. S. Bos tis, Mrs. F. L. Norris, Mrs. Horace Brinson, Mrs. Thelma Thomas and Mrs. Barbara Thomas. Mrs. Oren Bruton of Klnston was an out-of-town visitor to the meet' ing. Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and Nancy were in Ramseur Sunday to attend the funeral of Rev. Thomas Green at the Park Cross Roads Christian Church. John Ivey Thomas Chaptt er UDC Meet The John Ivey Thomas dhapte of the; U.D.C. met March 22 at the home of Mrs. Lou Belle Williams with Mrs. Herman Miller, president, presiding. Attractive arrangements of tulips, azaleas and daffodils were used throughout the house. Rituals and flag salutes were led by the Chap lain. Reports from the secretary and treasurer were heard. During the business session Mrs.' Grady Mercer's name was presented for consideration of becoming a mem. ber of the chapter. She was accept ed unanimously. "Correct Uses of the American Flag" was Interestingly presented by Mrs. Harry Venters of Rich lands. Other Richlands guests were Miss Athala Koonce and Mrs. Charles Blevins. Mrs. Grady Mer cer was also a guest. The chapter was dismissed by Mizpah. A foetal hour followed, when the hostess invited the guests into the dining room where a de licious salad plate and iced drinks were served from a table covered in white with a centerpiece of yellow jonquils.
