R. -Maxwell 1 A movement of God's Spirit is being repealed in our- church and one of -the evidencis means of this revelation, is the growing interest in the primary business of the church. During the next few weeks our Church is making a very special effort to enlist every member in the evangelist campaign, that the Presbyterians are engaged in. The main idea is to make you and me, all cjt us, Witnesseli for Christ, that eve-y one will ktjow that we do not merely have our names on the church roll but are active in pro moting the work of the church. The principle reason for the church is to bring sinners to the cross, and to make Christians of them. We have') a , loyal land dedicated group of officers, especially commissioned by God to herald the good news of the Kingdom. To bear witness of the saving grace, that Is in Christ. But the task of claiming for Cjhrtst and his Kingdom- those who are not completely committed to Him, was never intended to be delegated solely to them. I Whatever may be our vocation as we travel through life, if we are Christians, and the job is to be done1, our task is to be evangelists, to be v engaged in winning others to faith in Chist, and committment to His service in the fellowship of the church. Such a task is urgent and over-ruling today as never be fore, the burden of evangelisrn is being laid (m the heart and con science of every one of us. As we feel the pressure of this, we realize that it is not -exaggerating to insist that we can be, we must be evang elist. If Christ has made a difference in your life, if you recall his love for you and final appeal He made to his Diciples, if you love Him, and love as He loved, so that you really tare, so it hurts you to, see people spending their lives without know ing your Saviour; if the words SIN and Salvation are vital in your vo cabulary, and you bplieve in the power oi God to change people from unhappy creatures to be happy, un selfish individuals, if you are con cerned about the thousands suffer ing from dissatisfaction, anxiety, unrest, and suspicion; and if you believe that Christ can change their hearts and outlook, the idea pf evangelism will be more appealing to you, whatever may be your vo cation, youth, farmer, housewifle, or businesman. : j In short, if you belong to Jesus, who walks the dirty streets, in order to be a companion to man, and ministers to the deepest need of man, iwho taught mankind the secret of life, Wjhose, handy were warmed wjth healing ppWer,,whO showed the way vof God, who sacrificed HiS' body in love and.mercjr, that man everywhere might be free and hap py In' the bonds of love and ser vices. You know in your heart that you not only can be, but you must be, and the Lord helping - you will be an evangelist. : Good Friday , Services April 16th. 11 Good Fridayservibe will be held It'.the Baptist Church Friday even- mg Apri ,!OM. d The ministers of the Baptist, Methodist and Presbyterian chur ches ReV; "Paul' Maners,' Rev.
