A splendid 50-bed hospital, a health center and a nurses' home are being constructed at a cost of $834,000 in Kenansville, the county seat. Local funds put up for these projects being built under the North Carolina Medical Care Com mission program totaled $193,000. Several' modern Negro schools and a Negro resort, one of only a few in the state, are being built In the county. Electrfiqation has spread to nearly all farms. Attractive homes are springing up along newly paved roads. More than 500 home demon stration club members and 1,800 4-H, FFA, and FHA boys and girls are learning new techniques. Hural churches are taking the lead In building better communities.
