Mrs. C. B. Guthrie assisted the hostess in serving molded bridal ices, party cakes and coffee. Nut cups holding tasties and mints at tractively decorated with sprays of lilies of the valley decorated the plates, as favors for the guests. When scores were compiled, Mrs G. V. Gooding was given ear ring, Mrs. J. B. Wallace, cologne; Mrs. E. C. Tyndall a waste basket for high scores. The bride was remembered with sheets and a corsage of pink carnations by the hostess. It was thought when this group left Kenansville that they would go to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Luray Caverns but due to the Park, way not opening until April 15. their plans were changed to take hem to Asheville, Chimney Rock,, Gattlmgburg. Tenn.. spending the night in Johnson City, Tenn. They also saw all that was to be seen around Cherokee and the Indian reservation. Crossing the Great Smokies and the National Park spent another night in Marion, N. C. It is hard to relate all the in teresting places and things these bovs saw. The trip was m-ie nosi:ble bv the hard work and effor's put forth by the scout mothers who worked hard and served that delicious dinner re cently, the proceeds going to the scouts and their leaders. Scout Robert Caison was qualified to go but due to suffering car sick ness, was unable to go.
