Mr. Patrick is connected with the North Caro lina Merchants Association. He is a native son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Patrick of Seven Springs. Mr. Patrick says that his central thought in making this race is the protection of the small independ ent business men and business wo men in the many different fields from farming and fishing to mining rights, retailing in its various typ es of trades, professions and busi nesses in general.
